CALL FOR DAY OF ACTION Saturday, 6/26
Put out by MFSO-San Diego!
On
June 30th, the US Government is supposed to 'handover power' to a new
government in Iraq, thus beginning the process of disengagement and a
return of the troops who have been kept for long durations in Iraq. Or
so we are told.
The
reality looks a lot different, and it seems that this is yet another
deception of the Bush Administration. Rather than handing over power to
the Iraqis it seems the US occupation government will be prolonging
their stay. Instead of bringing the troops home it seems more likely
that thousands more will be put in harms way. Instead of "bringing
liberation" it seems that the violence provoked by the occupation will
only increase. How many more soldiers and Iraqi people have to die? We
must come together to demand no more! We must come together to
commemorate the occasion to demand and end to the occupation and to
Bring our troops home now!
Military
Families Speak Out! Invites you to endorse this call for a day of
action and help plan for an rally on Saturday, June 26th in San Diego
to demand a return of our troops. We will be announcing a planning

Who We Are..
Military
Families Speak Out is an organization of people who are opposed to war
in Iraq and who have relatives or loved ones in the military. We were
formed in November of 2002 and have contacts with military families
throughout the United States, and in other countries around the world.
As
people with family members and loved ones in the military, we have both
a special need and a unique role to play in speaking out against war in
Iraq. It is our loved ones who are, or have been, or will be on the
battlefront. It is our loved ones who are risking injury and death. It
is our loved ones who are returning scarred from their experiences. It
is our loved ones who will have to live with the injuries and deaths
among innocent Iraqi civilians.

We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the....
